Biology is the study of living things. It is the science of life. It helps as to understand the structure and functioning of organisms. Traditionally the subject has been divided into subdivisions of Zoology and Botany. A third subdivision Microbiology covers vast of microscopical animals not included in botany and zoology. Within this group are included two very important subjects, Bacteriology and Virology dealing with the study of bacteria and viruses respectively.
